East Coast Headshots is proud to announce that we are now a Mission Driven Brand (MDB).
Why are we doing this?
- On June 22nd, 2020 I was involved in a project were approximately 200 photographers banded together to help people who found themselves out of work due to COVID. Our goal was to photograph 10,000 people in one day.
- It was truly a moving day for me, I could not believe how thankful and excited the people I photographed were when they saw their images.
- Most of them actually had their new Headshots posted as their LinkedIn profile before they even were out of the building!
So, what does this mean to the community?
- I was so moved by this that it got me thinking how could I keep this going, how could I keep helping those who found themselves out of work? Whether due to COVID or for some other reason. Then it just came to me… Why not donate a Headshot to someone out of work?
- How this actually works is that for every person who purchases a new Headshot we will photograph a person who is out of work at no charge for them to use as their new Headshot Profile picture in the hopes that we can be their 1st step in getting back to work.
- That’s it! We all need to get back to work and East Coast Headshots is doing our part to help those in need.
Details:
Once we photograph a customer they will have several options as to how / who they want to donate a free Headshot.
- Direct gifting – this is where you know someone who is out of work and you want to personally give it to them.
- Leave the certificate with us for when someone reaches out to us for this service (we anticipate that once word gets out, we will have a waiting list) we currently have people who missed our 10,000 Headshot event and would like a Headshot.
- Donate it to any of our partner organizations that deal firsthand with people who are out of work.
It is our hope that this small give back to our community will help out of work people get back to work!
